Week 9 - Day 1 Excerpt
Today’s Thin Thought: Binge
eating is controlled eating
Welcome to the new week! You've successfully
navigated two months of Thin Over 40 and are
preparing to launch into your third! This week we're going to be talking about
why people engage in what some have characterized as out-of-control eating. This
binge eating can sabotage your Thin Over 40
lifestyle and produce copious amounts of frustrations, as well as excess weight.
It's the time you eat half a quart of ice cream or half a bag of cookies. It's
when you sit down to eat a light supper and end up consuming that plus all the
leftovers in the refrigerator.

Setting The Day for Success
Do you binge eat? In other words, are there times
when you just feel like eating but aren't really hungry? Is it triggered by
feelings of frustration, stress, loneliness? Thon Over 40 eating is balanced
eating. So if there are times when your eating is unbalanced, it's time to take
a look at why.

in Action
You've been journaling what you eat every day since you
began this program. I want you to be honest about something―have
you written down accurately when you've binged? When you've eaten half a bag of
chips or a quart of ice cream? Did you dutifully factor how many calories you'd
just taken in? Or did you leave that off, while promising yourself you wouldn't
do it again so it didn't really count?
