Today’s Thin Thought: What
you eat affects how you feel.
Welcome to your fourth week of
Thin Over 40! Each day you are taking the steps needed to anchor yourself
to this healthy rejuvenating lifestyle. Now is not the time to think you've got
this thing figured out. Now is not the time to pick and choose what you will or
won't do. Now is not the time to slack off. Now is the time to recommit
yourself to be
Thin Over 40. Continue your daily assignments:
Drink lots
of water
Bend,
stretch, and move upon waking
Walk in
the morning for at least 20 minutes
Keep track of what you put in your mouth
Watch your servings/portions
Watch your intake of unhealthy fats
Move more during the day
Setting The Day for Success
The Key Concept for this week is Food and Mood.
What you eat really does affect how you feel. And part of the difference has to
do with the way the foods you eat affect your metabolism. When you feel run
down, sluggish, unenergetic, you tend to have a depressed mood. You don't feel
good and your attitude reflects that.

I want you to take this week to record in your journal
how you feel after each meal. Do you feel energized and refreshed after eating,
or do you feel weighed down and lethargic? Do you experience cravings within an
hour after you eat? Two hours after you eat? If you do experience write down the
first food that comes to mind. What is it you are wanting? Is this a common
desire?
