Dr. Jantz as a Counselor
Now for 23 years, Dr. Gregg Jantz has a vision
of Hope. Trained in psychology, he looked out at the counseling
options available and realized something was missing. Hurting
people went to a doctor, to a psychiatrist, to a counselor, to a
pastor – going from place to place, looking for hope, help and
healing from their pain. At each junction, they received help for a
piece of their puzzle, yet the puzzle often still remained. Instead
of fractured care, Dr. Jantz created The Center for Counseling &
Health Resources, where people could find comprehensive, coordinated
care using a whole-person model – addressing the emotional,
relational, intellectual, physical and spiritual aspects of healing
and recovery.
Today, The Center has helped almost 30,000 people from across the
United States and internationally, who are drawn to his vision of
whole-person care. A Place of Hope, as The Center has become
known by its many clients, has 5 locations in the Seattle,
Washington area and an affiliate in Quito, Ecuador.
Supervising a staff of 50 dedicated professionals, Dr. Jantz has
brought together the very best in medical, nutritional,
naturopathic, relaxation, and therapeutic counseling services, for
mental health, chemical dependency and dual diagnosis. A nationally
recognized author and speaker, Dr. Jantz brings his whole-person
vision of Hope to audiences around the country, through speaking,
seminars, conferences, radio and television.
Dr. Jantz as a Speaker
Today, more than ever, people long to hear the
voice of hope, and that is precisely what Dr. Gregory Jantz
represents to thousands. Audiences know him through his books, his
radio and
television appearances, and his high-energy platform
presentations. His sensitive, humorous, authoritative, and
down-to-earth style informs and inspires. His life-affirming message
gives individuals and corporate clients a changed perspective and
the tools to fine-tune today’s most challenging issues.
His inclusive vision underscores everything he does, such as: The
Center for Counseling and Health Resources, Inc., a highly-regarded
mental health and chemical dependency treatment agency with three
clinics in the Seattle area, which he founded and directs; ground
breaking books and audio cassette programs on topics including
emotional abuse, eating disorders, weight loss, burnout, and sexual
boundaries.
Dr. Jantz’s “whole-person” approach is at the core of his wide
audience appeal and the high level of transformation he inspires. He
believes that every human being is a constellation of emotional,
physical, intellectual, relational, and spiritual dimensions
operating within the context of circumstance. By addressing and
engaging each element, the entire person can emerge as a whole and
healed human being.
Gregg Jantz is that rare presenter who keeps his audience
spell-bound, speaking with the effortless grace of a true healer,
and the warmth, wit, and wisdom of a natural-born storyteller.

My friend, Gregg,
speaks and writes with wings of hope on his heels. No guilt here, no hype, only
a grace filled glimpse, a true reflection of what could be you. Trust this man
because he cares with enough passion and honesty to get to where it really hurts
and to help you (or someone you love) to find a creative healing. I needed to
have my eyes opened and to understand about eating disorders. Once I was
indifferent; now I care.
-Graham Kerr, TV host of The Galloping Gourmet and Graham Kerr's Kitchen
It takes three weeks to make or break a habit, experts say.
'21 Days to Eating Better' guides you through a process for
changing your eating habits literally one day at a time for three weeks.
Although this is a little book, it's packed with solid, helpful information and
an underlying Christian perspective.

everyone motivated toward permanent weight loss.

"Moving Beyond Depression" is an
extraordinary book that not only touches the very core of this troubling disease

suffers from depression. Dr. Jantz has once again taken his professional
expertise and integrated it with spiritual wisdom to explain the whole-person
approach to healing, health, and happiness.

-Sharon Hersh, M.A., LPC, author of Bravehearts and Mom, I Feel
Fat!
I found Dr. Jantz's book to be a
useful tool for self-discovery and healing. Understanding the roles that
emotional, environmental, relational, physical, and spiritual healing can play
in the treatment of depression would have been most helpful in my own recovery
from clinical depression. By treating the whole person rather than simply the
disease of depression, Dr. Jantz gives people with depression the opportunity to
reclaim their personal integrity and individuality."
-Laura Lawless, Miss Arizona 2002 and mental health advocate.
Dr. Jantz does it right. After citing that 20 percent of Americans battle
depression, he doesn't take the fill-the-with-pills attitude. Instead, he
teaches what he calls the whole-person approach and urges readers to seek the
causes. His premise is that there is no single cause and no single path to
recovery. I highly recommend this practical book.
-Cecil Murphy, author of numerous books, including The God Who Pursues
and The Relentless God
In "Moving Beyond Depression", Dr. Gregory Jantz leads readers through,
around, and beyond depression. This book will benefit untold numbers of those
experiencing depression.
-Robert A. Anderson, M.D., author of Clinician's Guide to Holistic
Medicine

valuable!
